Peter SchluederbergMr. Schluederberg's practice is focused on counseling policyholders and representing them in insurance coverage disputes. He is an experienced litigator, having represented plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of commercial litigation matters. Since joining the Hilding firm, Of Counsel, in early 2006, Mr. Schluederberg has devoted his practice exclusively to insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. Before that, he was a partner at Tremblay & Schluederberg, where he worked as a commercial litigator for over 11 years. Among the various commercial matters he handled at the firm, Mr. Schluederberg gained experience as insurance defense counsel, particularly in the areas of professional liability and construction defect. His firm was also appointed statewide California insurance defense counsel for a leading insurer of real estate professionals. In addition, Mr. Schluederberg provided counsel to a variety of insurance policyholders and represented such clients in numerous insurance coverage and bad faith litigation cases, including a case in which the firm obtained a $4.3 settlement. In his early years as a litigation associate in San Diego County, Mr. Schluederberg represented commercial litigation defendants at Seltzer Caplan Wilkins & McMahon. He then teamed with Michael Lennie, where he represented plaintiffs in a variety of matters, including a publishing contract dispute resulting in the largest recovery ever obtained from a publisher by textbook authors. Mr. Schluederberg's experience representing both defendants and plaintiffs in a broad range of commercial disputes has provided him with valuable insight which he uses in providing top quality representation to his clients. Education: Mr. Schluederberg graduated from University of Maryland School of Law, with honors, in 1988. He was an Order of the Coif recipient, Associate Editor of the Maryland Law Review, and earned several American Jurisprudence Awards. Mr. Schluederberg received his undergraduate degree from University of Michigan.
